Roger Federer has ranked his latest Wimbledon victory against Rafael Nadal as one of the greatest of his glittering career.
The 20-times grand-slam champion from Switzerland has contested countless epics throughout his 21 years on tour, but his four-set win against his fierce rival last night will be near the top of his list.
It was the first match they had contested at the All England Club since the famous 2008 final, in which Nadal triumphed over five sets.
“This is obviously extremely high,” Federer said, whene asked to rank the victory. “It’s always very, very cool to play against Rafa here, especially as we haven’t played in so long.
