After nearly a decade of construction atop Manhattan’s West Side rail yards, the $25 billion Hudson Yards opened the majority of its buildings to the public Friday.
EarthCam, a high-resolution webcam content provider, has been documenting construction on the site since 2012. The company has been using what it says are cinema-quality gigapixel cameras to capture each stage of the what is the largest real estate development in U.S. history. Ahead of the opening of Related Cos. and Oxford Properties Group’s new mini-city, the company released a time lapse documenting the construction over the past seven years.
