Looks like we both came here with the same thought in our replies. Literally the only Apple tie-in seems to be regarding streaming from the app on a iOS device.

And if you have a HomePod, you can listen to nothing fro free.

Bingo.

128kbps Youtube compressed music? No thank you!

Studies have shown most people can’t notice any different past this point. And if there is a difference it’s absolutely marginal on 99% of consumer speakers. Only on very high end ones would it be noticeable at all.

Because people like me who are interested in all technology. I buy iPhones, I buy Galaxy Phones, and my whole home is Google Home. Just because you buy Apple doesn’t mean you’re locked in their ecosystem. I like to be able to move around so I use services that I can take to any device no matter the OS.

All the comment about how this is not a Mac rumors are silly and ruining the post related discussion, don’t like it, move along, there is no meet to complain.

I personally like the idea, the quality is good enough to for casual listening, and offer added value to Google home, Apple should take a note for homepod and offer at least a Music lite version.

Let’s block ads! (Why?)
